A male deer having a c-section????? I am left highly perplexed. A social commentary? If a man were to give birth, obviously by c-section, is the man destroyed or nature? Or, indeed, does the world simply continue? The calf doesn't drown, the green leaves of nature continue to grow and in essence the earth, nature itself remains virtually unchanged. As for the obvious wound left upon the parent, he seems unconcerned, so why should you be? All things considered, the incision is quite clean.

Then again, perhaps the artist just had a weird dream.
