The impeccably rendered ball-point pen illustrations of Shohei Otomo, aka Hakuchi, play with themes of Japanese history, stereotypes and nationalism. Why is she biting on a bit like a horse? What’s that supposed to mean?

I think the point is that they are all blinded and being led by history and national identity. Like a hose or maybe they are all in bondage to the ideas.

its not a horse thing its a bdsm thing. That’s why its about bondage. Anyway the illustration is fantastic.
